Pastel Courses and tuition
I have several different ways in which you can develop your own pastel skills. However, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, most of these are temporarily on hold, apart from video courses.
If you are booked on a course already, we will keep you informed as this situation develops. For courses at my studio and New Pastel School courses, if your course has to be postponed, we will give you the option of using your deposit on another course in the future, or you will be offered a refund. For the course at the Watermill in Italy, you can see their Coronavirus updates and policy here.
Let’s hope we won’t have to wait for too long to be meeting and making art again together!
1.The New Pastel School Courses
On these courses, I share my skills with pastel artist Nel Whatmore, between us we have over 50 years of pastel experience, and we approach the medium in different ways.
These courses offer a great opportunity to spend several days in lovely locations, immersing yourself in pastel work, in Devon and Yorkshire.
2.Studio Courses with Rebecca
These are one day courses at my studio in Devon with small numbers of students, focussing on specific subject matter. Days are grouped together to give people who travel a long way the chance to stay in local B & Bs.
3. Talks, demonstrations and workshops
I am always happy to tailor a demonstration, talk or workshop to the interests of a group, and have a variety of different subject matter that I can demonstrate.
4. Online Tuition and Videos
Do you find it hard to get to any of our courses? I have video courses available to buy and download here. I have made these with Art Tutor.com, an online art school.

5. The Watermill, Italy 2020
I will be teaching for a week in Italy in 2021 at the Watermill in Tuscany. I have planned a ‘Pastels and Mixed Media’ course, so that we can use a combination of soft pastels, pen, Conte and pastel pencils to capture the landscape and architecture of this beautiful place.
There are only 2 places still available on this course now.
