Despite the Covid-19 situation at present, I am still able to post items such as books and pastel sets, although I am trying to only go to the post office once a week, so you may have to wait for just a few extra days to receive your order.
For print orders the delivery time may be 2 weeks as prints are produced to order, and the supply chain in subject to slight delays. However, we are all working as hard as we can to keep everything going as efficiently as usual.
Deliveries of framed original art is still happening, restrictions allowing, please get in touch to ask as the situation changes constantly! Unframed art that can be posted can still be sent.
A refund will be granted if the goods are returned within 14 days, AND if they arrive back here undamaged. All return postage or shipping costs to be paid by the customer.
Please note that I will always aim or your order to reach you as soon as possible, however, I do not have a warehouse full of staff, and as stated above, the pandemic is causing delays in all areas. Please be patient, we are doing what we can. If your order is particularly urgent, it may be best to contact me first to check when you will receive it.

Delivery of Original Art
Delivery costs are not included in the price of the painting and are to be to be paid for by the purchaser. For each purchase I will give you an individual delivery quote, which will vary depending on your location. If you click on the ‘Inquire’ button next to the painting description, it takes you to a form to fill in with all the details I need to give you the quote.
Original pastels need to be handled with care. As the pastels I use are of a high quality, and I build up my paintings in layers, there is always going to be some rich areas of pigment on the surface. Tiny specs of pastel dust may become slightly dislodged in places in transit.
To take the best possible care of your painting, I use specialist art couriers and shippers, and so far all customers have been completely pleased with the result.
UK deliveries of original art
In the UK, I use South Hams Express, a specialist Art Courier Company, who take extremely good care of artwork, and delivery to your door. Timing will also vary, depending on their schedule. If you are in a hurry for your painting (perhaps for a gift), please let me know, I always try my best to get work delivered as quickly and as safely as possible, but have found over the years that it is better to be safe than sorry.
If you are local to me here in Devon, you are welcome to come and collect work from my studio, the kettle is always on, and I really like to meet customers and have a chat.
International deliveries of original art
For International deliveries I use ISCA Forwarding, a specialist Fine Art shipping company, based near to me at Exeter Airport, who package work extremely carefully and can arrange for delivery to your door.
If you click on the ‘Inquire’ button next to the painting description, it takes you to a form to fill in with your details so that I arrange for a delivery quote.
The international shipping will be cheaper if the painting is sent to a business address, but if you look at the section below (International orders, framed or unframed), you can see that in many cases it is advisable to have work sent to your framer.
International costs including Import Taxes, Customs Fees and Local Taxes
All delivery costs are to be paid for by the customer, including import taxes, customs fees, local taxes and insurance. I will give you a quote for the shipping and insurance, which you will pay to me, but you are responsible for the additional payment of import taxes, customs fees and possible local taxes when the artwork arrives in your country. For these fees and taxes, you will be notified directly by the relevant parties, and will only receive the painting on payment of those fees. These fees vary from country to country and it seems, from time to time, so I strongly advise you to find out in advance what they are likely to be. NB If you decide not to pay these fees, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to me if you would like a refund.
International orders, framed or unframed?
For overseas orders, you can choose whether to receive your original pastel painting framed or unframed.
Framed originals will be packaged carefully, with a protective film placed over the artwork itself while in transit. It is highly recommended that your painting is sent directly to your framer, who can then remove the protective film and reassemble your painting in its frame and seal it with tape.
Unframed original pastel paintings will be covered with a protective film and packaged flat. It is highly recommended that your painting is sent directly to your framer, whom you can visit to choose your frame. The original pastel will be safe under its protective film until the framer then removes it when your painting is placed in its frame.
Once your painting is framed and hung on the wall, it will last unchanged for many years without fading as long as it is not placed in direct sunlight, which is the case for all original artwork.
If you have any questions about delivery or care of pastels in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.
