Join us for a live zoom pastel workshop to capture the feeling of looking out from the shadow of trees into a clearing full of sunlight.
I often get asked about how to paint the changing effects as we look directly into the light, so this tutorial is all about that!
Choosing colours, and using tone and colour temperature to create depth, shadows and magical light.

There will be a recording available the day after the session if you register for the event.

You will receive a detailed list of materials, photographs for reference, and a drawing to help you if you need it.

We will use soft pastels for this piece. You do not need to have the exact colours that Rebecca will use. We will work on a mid-tone pastel paper or surface for the main piece and some mid-tone practice paper for a tonal sketch.

How the session works
I will be demonstrating in my studio, and my ever-patient husband André will be hosting the zoom session. You can ask questions during the demonstration, using the ‘chat’, and I can answer questions at the end, face to face.

A recording of the session will be available after the workshop if you have registered for the event.

When you register for the workshop, you will receive 2 emails;
The first will be a confirmation email.
The second email will arrive a few minutes later. This will contain the links that you need for the zoom and also to access the PDF containing all the information you need, including reference photos and a materials list.
