Zoom Pastel Workshop, ‘Light on the River’

Join us from the comfort of your own home for a live zoom pastel workshop to capture the beauty of light falling on water, showing translucency, depth, and the sparkle of sunlight on the surface.
I am fascinated by how we can convey the feeling of looking down into water, as well as seeing reflections above, so that’s what this workshop is all about!
How to contrast the form and structure of the woodland landscape with the flow of the river. Using tone, and colour temperature.
There will be a recording available the day after the session if you register for the event.
You will receive a detailed list of materials, photographs for reference, and a drawing to help you if you need it.
We will use soft pastels for this piece. You do not need to have the exact colours that Rebecca will use. We will work on a mid-tone pastel paper or surface for the main piece and some mid-tone practice paper for a tonal sketch.
How the session works
I will be demonstrating in my studio, and my ever-patient husband André will be hosting the zoom session. You can ask questions during the demonstration, using the ‘chat’, and I can answer questions at the end, face to face.
A recording of the session will be available after the workshop if you have registered for the event.
When you register for the workshop, you will receive 2 emails;
The first will be a confirmation email.
The second email will arrive a few minutes later. This will contain the links that you need for the zoom and also to access the PDF containing all the information you need, including reference photos and a materials list.
**PLEASE LOOK IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER if you do NOT receive your 2 EMAILS very soon after booking.
If you do NOT RECEIVE them, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!**
