Zoom pastel workshop: ‘Let it Snow!’
December 2 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for a live pastel workshop, to capture the crisp freshness of a snow scene in sunshine. With tips for painting the light on snow, and distant mountains. Using mark-making to draw and paint winter tress, and using lines of flow and perspective to create a sense of space, and to draw your viewer into a scene.
There will be a recording available a day or two after the session if you register for the event.
When you book you will receive a detailed list of materials, photographs for reference, and a drawing to help you if you need it.
We will use soft pastels, and a hard brown pastel or pastel pencil. You do not need to have the exact colours that Rebecca will use, but a range of blues will be useful, as well as a bright cream. We will work on a grey mid-tone pastel paper or surface for the main piece, and some practise paper for a tonal and colour sketch.
How the session works
I will be demonstrating in my studio, and my ever-patient husband André will be hosting the zoom session. You can ask questions during the demonstration, using the ‘chat’, and I can answer questions at the end, face to face.
A recording of the session will be available after the workshop if you have registered for the event.
When you register for the workshop, you will receive 2 emails;
The first email will be your booking confirmation.
The second email, a few minutes later, contains the links to the zoom event and also to a PDF containing all the information you need, including reference photos and a materials list.
**PLEASE LOOK IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE THE SECOND EMAIL WITH THE LINKS.
If it is in there you need to mark it as ‘not junk’ so you can see the links.
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE BOTH EMAILS, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!**
Please read ALL of the information.
I look forward to seeing you on Monday 2nd December!
